A hat trick of landmark debuts this spring
Bryan Hymel celebrates his spring with three landmark debuts. On March 21, the American tenor makes both his house and role debut in Opernhaus Zürich’s Les Contes d’Hoffmann, starring as the hapless and eponymous poet in Offenbach’s opus. Bryan can be heard under both Fabio Luisi and Patrick Furrer in performances that run through April 2.
Three days after the conclusion of Hoffmann in Zürich, Bryan heads to the Vienna Staatsoper for his house debut in Puccini’s Madama Butterfly, a role he recently sang to great acclaim at New York’s Metropolitan Opera. Bryan stars as B.F. Pinkerton opposite Hui He’s Cio-Cio San on April 5, 9, and 14.
Finally, Bryan joins the Rotterdam Philharmonic on May 16 and 17. There, he performs Verdi’s monumental Requiem under the baton of music director Yannick Nézet-Séguin.
