caira-thumbTonight, Bryan Hymel joins the Nashville Symphony for the U.S. premiere of Roger Waters’s Ça Ira, a work the American tenor previously performed in Sweden in the summer of 2013.

Set in the early days of the French Revolution, Ça Ira takes its name from an emblematic song of the historical period, first heard in May of 1790. Bryan appears as one of the work’s soloists in a number of roles, starring alongside soprano Sally Matthews and bass David Soar. Waters himself narrates the performance, which is conducted by Rick Wentworth.
