Bryan Hymel makes his company and role debut in Lyric Opera of Chicago’s Anna Bolena
Lyric Opera of Chicago announced their 2014-15 season today, and with it came the news that Bryan Hymel will make two auspicious debuts this December: In addition to appearing with LOC for the first time, he will make his role debut in Donizetti’s Anna Bolena.
Based on the life and death of Anne Boleyn, Anna Bolena stars Sondra Radvanovsky as the titular Tudor with Bryan as her first love, Lord Percy. John Relyea sings the part of Boleyn’s husband, the manipulative and menacing Henry VIII, and Jamie Barton can be heard as Henry VIII’s third wife, Jane Seymour. Patrick Summers conducts the performance, directed by Kevin Newbury. Performances run from December 6 through January 16. For more information, click here.
