Bryan Hymel “shines” in Bayerische Staatsoper’s Guillaume Tell
Making his role debut, Bryan Hymel “shines as the war-happy, scar faced Arnold” in the Bayerische Staatsoper’s new production of Rossini’s Guillaume Tell, according to Die Welt. The review went on to praise the American tenor’s “secure high notes, which are supported from his baritonal base to reach wonderful heights.”
Bayerische Rundfunk Klassik added to the acclaim, writing that “Bryan Hymel knows how to win audiences over with his bright tenor,” while Die Presse proclaimed Bryan “an excellent Arnold.”
Guillaume Tell continues at the Bayerische Staatsoper through July 13.
