Bryan Hymel’s San Francisco Opera debut marked by Opera News feature

10906500_823136247729917_192948139746506923_nIn advance of his San Francisco Opera debut in Les Troyens, Bryan Hymel can be seen on the cover of this month’s issue of Opera News. Bryan previously starred in Berlioz’s epic work at the Royal Opera House and, in his house debut, at the Metropolitan Opera. The San Francisco performances will reunite Bryan with his Met co-star, celebrated mezzo-soprano Susan Graham.

Bryan will be reprising the role of Énée in the San Francisco Opera premiere of David McVicar’s new production, also seen at the Royal Opera House. This summer’s performances are conducted by Donald Runnicles and also feature Anna Caterina Antonacci, Michaela Martens, Sasha Cooke, Brian Mulligan, Christian Van Horn and René Barbera. ​
