Bryan’s recording of Les Troyens shortlisted for Gramophone Award

$wm1_0x700_$_OA1097D_covThe Royal Opera House’s 2012 performance of Les Troyens, starring Bryan Hymel as Aeneas, has been shortlisted for a 2014 Gramophone Award. Released on Opus Arte DVD and Bluray in 2013, the recording now stands to receive one of the highest honors in the classical music recording industry.

Gramophone made special mention of the American tenor’s star turn in Berlioz’s epic drama, citing Bryan as “a match for Davis’s Jon Vickers in Aeneas’s searing ‘Inutiles regrets.’”

Winners of the 2014 Gramophone Awards will be announced online on August 27 with the awards ceremony taking place on September 17. Click here to purchase Les Troyens.
