Royal Opera’s ‘Les troyens’ cinecast begins this month

This month the Royal Opera House will broadcast its acclaimed production of Berlioz’s epic opera Les Troyens to cinemas worldwide. Last summer, Bryan Hymel starred in Berlioz’s dramatization of the fall of Troy as Énée opposite Eva-Maria Westbroek as his beloved Didon, Queen of Carthage. This new staging by David McVicar also featured Anna Caterina Antonacci as the doomed prophetess Cassandre, under the baton of Antonio Pappano.

Broadcasts in the UK, Europe, South America, and Australia begin November 10. Find a screening near you.
